Autoload Success Rate Definition/Meaning:
The proportion of
tape volumes presented to a magnetic tape transport that are successfully
autoloaded (or auto threaded) after a defined number of attempts. For 1/2" tape
about three attempts are usually made and the success rate is typically about
97%; failures are mainly due to the end of the tape being damaged, often as a
result of manual threading on another tape transport. The operator should then
trim the end of the tape, or load it manually.
