Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT) Definition/Meaning:
An electronic display device in which an electrical signal is used to
modulate one or more well-defined and controllable beams of electrons; in a
color CRT three electron beams are used. The electron beam or beams are directed
onto a target surface, usually a phosphorescent screen, the controlled movement
and intensity of the beam(s) producing a visible display, or sometimes a display
that must be detected other than by eye. See also
